Conference Objectives
1’st Engineering Solutions Towards Sustainable Development Conference (ESSD 2023) is a premier forum that brings together researchers from diverse Engineering fields with the purpose of exploring the fundamental roles, interactions as well as practical impacts of Engineering for Sustainable Development.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development launched on 28th June 2018 sets out 17 goals and 169 targets, which jointly constitute a comprehensive plan of action to eradicate poverty and ensure sustainable development. The conference recognizes the vital role of Engineering practices to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ensuring universal access to sustainable energy, clean water, quality of life and addresses the global challenges including poverty, climate change, and environmental degradation. This two-day international conference is organized to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, industrial participants, and students to share their research findings with global experts. All full paper submissions will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research depth, accuracy, and relevance to the conference theme and topics.

Paper Submission
All papers should be submitted directly through the conference website at psu.edu.eg/ESSD2023. Papers should be prepared according to the author’s guidelines and template presented at the conference website.
Review Process
All papers will be peer reviewed by members of the scientific committee and distinguished professors from academic organizations.
Best paper Award
The Best Paper Award is to recognize and promote quality contributions to academic research and writing among scholars and students in each track. The papers are to be evaluated based on a-two stage evaluation process: prior publishing evaluation by the conference Scientific Committee, and during the oral presentation.
Conference Proceeding and Publication
- All conference papers will be published into the ESSD conference proceeding published by Port Said University.
- Selected papers will be published in a special Issue of Port Said Engineering Research Journal (PSERJ) (Print ISSN: (1110-6603) and Online ISSN: (2536-9377).
- PSERJ is an open-access journal that publishes high-quality articles covering all areas of engineering research. PSERJ is indexed in Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and was issued a 7 out of 7 point rating from the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
